Overview
This MagCAD top bearing cover allows you to mount a compatible Black Inc Aero Barstem cockpit, designed for Factor Bikes, to your Specialized Crux 5 (2026-) gravel bike.
Please note: The newer Aero Barstem cockpit is different in design to the original Barstem cockpit. This MagCAD top bearing cover is not compatible with the original Barstem cockpit.
The remodelled top bearing cover matches the profile of the OEM Specialized Crux 5 bearing cover to the shape of the Black Inc Aero Barstem cockpit, allowing for completely internal routed cabling on your Crux 5.
This MagCAD top bearing cover is 6.7mm in height, the same as the OEM Specialized Crux 5 top bearing cover. The The Aero Barstem cockpit can be fitted directly on top for a "slammed" low stack height setup or fitted with Aero Barstem spacers, not supplied, for a taller headset stack height.
OEM Aero Barstem spacers, which are a split design, and can be purchased from Black Inc directly. Otherwise we have both 5mm and 10mm 3D printed non split spacers available to purchase separately, depending on how many are required for your particular installation.
Please note, this bearing cover is not compatible with the 4th generation Specialized Crux (2021-2025).
Application
All MagCAD headset parts are 3D printed in a durable Nylon to ensure they are robust to many years of use. As with any steering related components they should be installed by a competent mechanic and inspected regularly. Incorrect assembly or mis-use may result in damage to the headset components.

- Not compatible with the 4th generation Specialized Crux (2021-2025).
