Overview

This MagCAD top bearing cover allows you to mount a compatible Enve IN-Route stem or integrated cockpit to your Specialized Tarmac SL9 (2026-) road bike.

The remodelled top bearing cover matches the profile of the OEM Specialized Tarmac SL9 bearing cover to the shape of the Enve IN-Route system, allowing for completely internal routed cabling on your Tarmac SL9.

This MagCAD top bearing cover is 8.2mm in height, just 0.4mm taller than the 7.8mm OEM Specialized Tarmac SL9 top bearing cover. The Enve IN-Route stem or cockpit can be fitted directly on top for a "slammed" low stack height setup or fitted with Enve IN-Route spacers, not supplied, for a taller headset stack height.

Please note, this bearing cover is not compatible with the Specialized Tarmac SL8 (2023-2025). For the Tarmac SL8 you will want our MagCAD Enve IN-Route Specialized Tarmac SL8 Top Bearing Cover.

Application

All MagCAD headset parts are 3D printed in a durable Nylon to ensure they are robust to many years of use. As with any steering related components they should be installed by a competent mechanic and inspected regularly. Incorrect assembly or mis-use may result in damage to the headset components.

Particular care should be taken to ensure the internal cable routing is installed correctly and checked periodically.

This MagCAD Tarmac SL9 top bearing cover includes provision for the OEM steerer stop. This system uses the bearing cover to prevent the handlebars from turning too far and the handlebars colliding with the frame top tube. In the event of a crash or mis-use, the steerer stop may damage the bearing cover, which should then be inspected and replaced. Damage from the steerer stop is not considered normal wear and tear.

  • Specialized Tarmac SL9 (2023-2025).
  • Not compatible with the Specialized Tarmac SL8 (2023-2025).
