Overview
Mount your Garmin Edge computer in front of your Specialized handlebars with this MagCAD Mount. The new Specialized stems found on bikes such as the Venge, Roubaix, Tarmac and Diverge (as well as others) come with a slot in the centre that provides a secure point to attach the mount.
This MagCAD mount is designed to suit Garmin Edge devices up to the size of the 550 and 850. It is extremely strong and stiff, keeping your device securely positioned in front of your stem. This mount will not suit the large Edge devices like the 1040 and 1050. For those we have a longer version mount.
A GoPro lug has been added underneath for maximum flexibility, allowing you to mount additional devices such as cameras and lights underneath your computer without cluttering the rest of your handlebars.
Application
Fitting the MagCAD mount is a simple process.
- Remove your Specialized stem faceplate and insert the supplied retained nut in the back of the faceplate, holding it horizontally.
- Screw the MagCAD mount through the front of the faceplate, through the slot and into the retained nut. We recommend using a thread locking compound before installing the screw. Loosely tighten the screw.
- Reassemble the stem faceplate to your Specialized stem, carefully following the manufacturers instructions and ensure the retained nut and screw do not foul your handlebars.
- Pivot the mount to your preferred orientation and tighten to 2.7Nm.
- Periodically check the screw remains tight and secure.
All Garmin Edge devices come with a lanyard for extra security. We recommend using this lanyard alongside our MagCAD mount to avoid any risk of damage due to incorrect assembly or mis-use.
Please Note: When mounting multiple devices off one mount we recommend using a tether just for extra security.
Compatible With:
- Garmin Edge devices (small/medium): 130 Plus, 550, 850.
- Not compatible with Garmin Edge devices (large): Explore, 1030, 1040 & 1050.
- Action cameras and lights with a GoPro type mount.
- Specialized stems: Venge, Tarmac SL7, Future.
- Not compatible with the S-Works SL stem.
- Not compatible with the Roval integrated cockpits; Alpinist SL, Rapide & Alpinist II.
