Overview

This mount allows you to attach your Garmin Varia (RearVue 820, RTL515 or older) radar light underneath a compatible Fizik saddle, making for a very clean and aesthetically pleasing installation. It holds your device securely behind your saddle, positioned vertically, to reliably detect traffic coming from behind.

This version mount has a 40mm offset measured from the securing screws to centre of the Varia interface. This adds some clearance for a small saddle bag or other saddle mounted accessories.

This mount has been designed together with the new Fizik Arione Adaptive saddles (2026-), which have two M5 threaded holes on the underside at 20mm hole centre distance. These holes are originally intended for the Fizik Aeris Link bottle mount but work great for supporting your rear light. This mount may suit other Fizik saddles, like the Transiro, but we have yet to test this and therefore cannot confirm the compatibility. As more Fizik saddles are launched with this screw system we will update the listing here.

Please be aware, this MagCAD mount is compatible with Garmin Varia radar lights that use a plastic quarter-turn interface like the RearVue 820 and the RTL515/516. It is not compatible with the Varia RCT715 radar/camera which has a metal interface and locking arm on the mount itself.

Application

To attach, simply screw the MagCAD mount to the underside of your saddle with 2x M5x12mm button head screws, supplied. We recommend using a thread locking compound such as Loctite to ensure the screws do not loosen with use.

The Garmin Varia is attached with a simple quarter-turn motion, just like the OEM Varia seat post mount.

  • Garmin Varia radar devices with plastic quarter turn interface; RearVue 820, RTL515, RTL516 etc.
  • Not compatible with the Varia RCT715 radar/camera.
  • Fizik Arione saddles (2026-).
  • Not compatible with older Arione saddles (pre-2026).
