Overview

This MagCAD headset spacer replaces the top spacer from the Venge headset stack and allows you to mount the Specialized Tarmac SL7 alloy stem to your Specialized Venge (2019-2021) road bike.

The Tarmac SL7 stem has been continued with the launch of the Tarmac SL8 and is a lighter alternative to the stock Venge stem, now discontinued. The Tarmac SL7 stem is easier to source in various lengths and angles, thus allowing for better adjustment of your riding position.

This top headset spacer adds 6mm to the headset stack height, 1mm more than the OEM Specialized Venge top spacer. The difference in stem clamp height between the Venge stem (34mm) and Tarmac SL7 stem (31mm) is 3mm. The complete refit with MagCAD spacer and Tarmac SL7 stem therefore reduces the overall headset stack height by 2mm.

The headset spacer is designed for the Tarmac SL7 stem cap, not supplied, with some improvements over the OEM Specialized assembly to improve the fit and security of the cap. This MagCAD spacer is also compatible with both -6deg and -12deg Tarmac SL7 stems.

Application

All MagCAD headset parts are 3D printed in a durable Nylon to ensure they are robust to many years of use. As with any steering related components they should be installed by a competent mechanic and inspected regularly. Incorrect assembly or mis-use may result in damage to the headset components.
