Overview

This adapter allows you to attach your Wahoo TrackR Radar light to a compatible Garmin Varia mount, improving options for mounting the device to your bike.

The Garmin Varia has long been the rear radar light of choice, defining and then dominating the market. With the launch of the TrackR Radar light from Wahoo there is now a very viable alternative, but to date the mounting options are very limited.

Please note the Garmin interface on the Varia devices is the same as the Garmin Edge devices but rotated 90 degrees. Therefore if you use this MagCAD adapter with a Garmin Edge cycle computer mount it may not be the correct orientation for your setup.

Please be aware, this MagCAD adapter is compatible with Garmin Varia radar mounts up to the RTL515/516, which feature a plastic two tab quarter turn interface. It is not compatible with the new Varia RCT715 radar/camera which has a metallic interface.

Application

To attach the MagCAD adapter simply twist it onto the back of the Wahoo TrackR Radar with a clockwise eighth turn, typical of all Wahoo devices. You can then mount your TrackR Radar onto a compatible Garmin Varia mount with a typical Garmin quarter turn twist.

A lanyard has been added to the design of this MagCAD adapter as the Wahoo TrackR Radar light itself has no loop to attach one. The lanyard adds an extra layer of security to cover the risk of mis-assembly or damage in a crash.

Because the adapter is designed to be super slim and low profile for some it can be hard to grasp with your fingers to remove. Simply use a 2.5mm Allen key or screwdriver through a pre-designed hole to turn and release. Be sure to turn the correct way.

• Garmin Varia mounts up to RTL515/516.
• Not compatible with the Varia RCT715 radar/camera mounts.
